A Sri Lankan court today remanded three fishermen, who were arrested by the Sri lankan Navy, to judicial custody till January 29, a functionary of the local fishermen's association said.
The fishermen were produced in Oorkavalturai court today and the magistrate, Sabeshan, ordered that they be remanded in judicial custody.
They were later lodged in a prison at Jaffna, Rameswaram Fishermen Association President P Sesuraj, who received information from Sri Lanka, said.
The three fishermen of Kottaipattinam were arrested by the Lankan Navy personnel yesterday morning near Neduntheevu for allegedly crossing the International Bounday Line.
