Lankan Navy arrests four TN men for smuggling ganja

Sri Lankan Naval personnel today arrested four persons from Thangachimadam in this island for allegedly smuggling ganja from here, according to information reaching local police.
Some 165 kg of ganja was seized from the four who had gone in a country boat with the contraband to Sri Lanka, police said.
Later they were handed over to Lankan Customs officials at Talaimannar with the seized ganja.
The value of the ganja seized was worth Rs 16.5 lakh in the Indian market, and several times higher in Sri Lanka, police said.
