Kept in a plastic bag, the amount was recovered from a luxury car during a raid in Johri area in the city last night, SSP Neeru Garg said.
Three persons have been arrested in this connection, she said.
However, it was still not clear whether the notes seized are fake or real, she said.
The source of the money and where it was being taken is being found out.
