Large haul of 9 mm pistol bullets, rail passenger held

A huge quantity of 9 mm pistol bullets were recovered from a person travelling in the Down Amritsar Express at Guwahati Railway Station tonight, GRP sources said.
The person, identified as Umesh Kumar of Bihar was apprehended by GRP with 276 bullets from the train as he was travelling from Dimapur in Nagaland to Kathihar in Bihar, the sources said.
Umesh's links, if any, with militant outfits or for whom the bullets were being carried was under investigation, they added.
