Last rites of Zambian national performed

The last rites of Zambian national who died under mysterious circumstances on June 27 were performed here today.
Twala Keltha, 28, a Christian, was buried in the graveyard in the presence of officials from Zambia Embassy, besides local administration, father of concerned Church, police said.
Keltha had died under mysterious circumstances, at Government Guru Nanak Dev Hospital where she was admitted on June 26 as she was unwell after coming from Pakistan.
Keltha had reached Amritsar from Delhi on June 25 through the Delhi-Lahore bus, intending to travel to Pakistan, but the Indian Immigration Authorities found that she did not have a visa and refused to allow her to continue her journey, police said.
On her request, the authorities held telephonic talk with their Pakistani counterpart, whereupon Pakistan agreed to sanction her visa on arrival.
However, the Pakistan authorities later declined her visa on arrival and immediately informed their Indian counterpart to accept her back but Indian authorities refused as the International border had been closed.
On June 26, Pakistani Rangers found the woman unconscious on a road near the International Border. She was then handed over to India, they said.
The police said the woman was in India on a business project on the invitation of Mumbai-based business house.
