Whitmore met "The Revenant" star at the BAFTA Awards at the London's Royal Opera House last month and were seen hanging out together, reported Ace Showbiz.
"Things haven't worked out with Laura and Rory," a source close to the pair revealed.
However, Whitmore and Williams decided to pull the plug on their relationship was because the latter wanted to focus on his music career.
"Some of her friends think they are still going out but he's getting on with his music and doing his own thing," the source added.
"What happened with Leo didn't help the situation either. It just created a lot of unwanted attention," the source added.
