A first semester law student lodged a written complaint with the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Students' Welfare in the evening about the incident.
The complainant alleged that a fifth semester student not only asked "intimidating questions" to him but also "physically assaulted" him and "stripped" him.
The university has initiated an inquiry into the matter and if the complaint is found to be true, the senior would face rustication.
As filing of an FIR within 24 hours in such cases is mandatory, the university authorities have called the complainant and the accused and if a compromise is not arrived at in the matter, a case would be registered.
