Lawyer shot dead after dispute over pet dog

A lawyer was shot dead by a father-son duo in Civil Lines area here over a dispute due to the barking of a pet dog, police said today.
30-year-old Manmohan Verma was shot at by the accused Mahipal Singh and his son Mukul, who are also lawyers, last evening when he had an argument with them over their pet dog, they said.
Verma was rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment.
The two have claimed that Verma had first opened fire at them. They were also injured in the incident, police added.
