The lawyers were on strike protesting government's decision to redraw jurisdiction of South West district sub division.

They decided to withdraw the strike after a meeting with Dikshit.

"We have decided to withdraw our strike following assurance from the Chief Minister that our demand will be considered by the Revenue department," Dwarka Court Bar Association President Naresh C Sharma, who led the delegation that met Dikshit, said.

He said following reorganisation of the sub division, a number of areas in Dwarka have come under New Delhi sub division which will require people in the area to come to Tis Hazari court for any legal matters.

Work at Dwarka district court remained paralysed for the fourth consecutive day today due to the strike.

Dikshit said a committee has been formed to examine the issue. Chief Minister's Parliamentary Secretary Mukesh Sharma was also present in the meeting.
