The agitating lawyers decided to abstain from work tomorrow as well.
The other district court lawyers, who had also supported the strike yesterday, however, were back to work and court proceedings at Patiala, Tis Hazari, Saket, Karkardooma and Rohini court complexes went on smoothly.
Earlier, around 50,000 lawyers in all six district courts here had abstained from work protesting the Delhi government's decision. The Dwarka bar association leaders had decided to continue its strike for the second day as they are much affected with the government's decision on bifurcation.
"Strike at Dwarka court will continue on Wednesday also. No lawyer will appear in the case listed for tomorrow, only the proxy counsel will appear before the concerned court to take adjournments," Dwarka Court Bar Association President Naresh C Sharma said.
He further said they have also written to the Delhi High court to intervene into the matter and the bar would also try to meet Delhi chief minister.
