The voting for these elections had taken place on March 24 but due to alleged irregularities and was rendered invalid, said Advocate Sudhir Tyagi, chairman of election committee, Ghaziabad Bar Council.
The previous election was deferred due to flouting of the norms of the Bar Council of India, he said.
Today in the general body meeting some lawyers started hooting while a speaker from the other group was putting forth his views and created obstruction.
The scuffle between the groups reached the extent of manhandling in which some bar members suffered injuries.

On getting the information, police reached the bar room in the court premises to maintain law and order by that time the injured advocates were rushed for treatment, Tyagi said.
Both the groups have filed counter-complaints at Kavi Nagar police station regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Bar Council Secretary Ramjeet Singh Yadav, on behalf of its President Anil Pratap Singh, wrote to the Ghaziabad Bar in which he directed that fresh polling be conducted under the guidance of chairman of election committee of the district.
