The LDF has won 91 seats-- CPI(M) accounting for 58, CPI 19, Janata Dal(S) 3, NCP 2, KC-B, CMP, RSP(L) and Congress (S) one each and LDF supported independents 5.
CPI(M) the lead partner, got 26.5 per cent vote share (53,65,472 votes), while CPI garnered 8.1 per cent vote share (16,43,878 votes).
The LDF vote share was 45.06 per cent during 2011 polls, while UDF had 46.03 per cent, when the latter came to power with 72 seats. The LDF had then secured 68 seats.
Congress won 23.7 per cent of the votes (47,94,793 votes), while its second largest partner IUML received 7.4 per cent vote share (14,96,8641 votes), KC-M 4 per cent, JD-U 1.4 per cent, RSP 1.1 per cent and KC-J 0.4 per cent.

The BJP-NDA combine got 14.4 per cent votes in which BJP got 10.5 per cent (21,29,726 votes), which is more than four per cent it received in 2011.
Its new ally Bharat Dharma Jana Sena got 3.9 per cent vote share (7,95,797 votes).
