Lead, copper move up on global cues

Prices of lead and copper rose up to Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today largely on a firming global trend and increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said sentiment bolstered as lead advanced in global markets after inventories dropped to the lowest level in five years and data signaled demand will climb in the US, the world's second-biggest metals consumer.
Meanwhile, lead for delivery in three months rose 0.6 per cent to USD 1,984 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, lead ingot, lead imported were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 104 and Rs 105 per kg respectively.
Copper mixed scrap were also seen in demand and traded higher by Rs 3 to Rs 405 per kg.

Zinc ingot Rs 111-117, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,025-1,030, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 405, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 104, Lead imported Rs 105, Aluminium ingots Rs 154, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 155, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 157 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 154.
