Amid sluggish domestic demand and weak global trend, lead prices moved down by 1.21 per cent to Rs 130.45 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in January declined by 60 paise, or 1.21 per cent to Rs 130.45 per kg in business turnover of 5,475 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in February shed 35 paise, or 1.13 per cent to Rs 131.35 per kg in 218 lots.
Market analysts said the fall in lead prices at futures trade was mostly in tandem with a weakening trend in base metals in the global markets and subdued domestic demand.
Meanwhile, lead touched a low of USD 2,114 a tonne, the lowest level since December 10 on the London Metal Exchange.
