Tracking a weak trend overseas and subdued domestic demand, lead fell 0.35% to Rs 113.75 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed their holdings.

In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in August contracts shed 40 paise, or 0.35%, to Rs 113.75 per kg in a moderate business turnover of two lots.

Also, metal for delivery in July contracts fell 25 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 112.80 per kg in a turnover of 172 lots.

Analysts said that besides subdued demand from battery-makers and other consuming industries at the domestic spot market, a weak trend in select base metals at the London Metal Exchange kept pressure on lead futures prices here.
