Amid pick up in demand from consuming industries at spot market, lead prices were up by 0.13 per cent to Rs 159.80 per kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February was trading higher by 20 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 159.80 per kg in business turnover of 149 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid pick up in demand from battery-makers in the spot market, mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade.
