At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February edged up by 95 paise, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 117.15 per kg, in a business turnover of 376 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month March traded higher by 80 paise, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 117.55 per kg in 64 lots.
Analysts said apart from a firm trend overseas as finance chiefs from the Group of 20 sought to shore up investors' confidence in global economic prospects, increased demand from battery makers in the spot market, influenced lead prices at futures trade.
