At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in March traded 55 paise, or 0.41 per cent higher at Rs 134.05 per kg, with a turnover of three lots.
The metal for delivery in February also rose by 50 paise, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 132.95 per kg in a turnover of 304 lots.
Marketmen said strong domestic demand, particularly from battery-makers and a firming trend in base metals overseas, mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade here.
