Lead rises on increased demand

Lead prices edged up by Rs 4 per kg at the local non-ferrous market today on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders attributed the rise in lead prices to increased demand from battery-makers.
In the national capital, lead ingot and lead imported went up by Rs 4 each to Rs 100 and Rs 101 per kg respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 110-116, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,087-1,093, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 418, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 100, Lead imported 101, Aluminium ingots 164, Aluminium sheet cutting 165, Aluminium wire scrap 167 and Aluminium utensils scrap 164.
