Lead softens on reduced industrial offtake

Lead prices drifted by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today due to reduced industrial offtake.
However, other base metal such as copper and nickel held steady in thin trade.
Traders said easing demand from consuming industries at current levels mainly led to the fall in lead prices.
In the national capital, lead ingots and lead imported were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 104 and Rs 105 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg)
Zinc ingot Rs 118-124, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,057-1,062, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 407, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot- Rs 104, Lead imported- Rs 105, Aluminium ingots- Rs 164, Aluminium sheet cutting- Rs 165, Aluminium wire scrap- Rs 167 and Aluminium utensils scrap- Rs 164.
