The 'Samman Divas rally', organised by INLD in this Ahirwal region of south Haryana to pay tribute to former Deputy Prime Minister late Devi Lal on his 99th birth anniversary on 'Haryana Day' today, also witnessed participation of TDP's Nama Nageswara Rao, Ramdass Athawale (RPI), Bhim Rao Ambedkar's grandson Prakash Ambedkar.
In his address, Yadav said that under the Congress headed regime at the Centre, country's resources had been plundered, prices had sky-rocketed, unemployment had risen sharply while corruption had broken all records.
Paying tributes to Devi Lal, who had also served as Haryana's Chief Minister, Yadav said that today when he thinks about leaders like him, Mahatama Gandhi, Jai Prakash Narayan, Bhagat Singh, Ram Manohar Lohia and Chaudhary Charan Singh, it makes him pause and ponder that going by the phase which the country is going through, whether the sacrifices made by these leaders had gone in vain.
"Corruption has crossed all limits. 2G, Coalgate, Reliance scam, CWG scam are just to name a few," he said.
He said that it was unfortunate that even 65 years post Independence, a common man was leading the same miserable life and ills like casteism, which divide the society, still rule the roost.
"The country needs another revolution to bring about a change," he said.
