Actor Leah Remini will star in the pilot of untitled comedy from 20th Century Fox Television.
The comedy pilot at Fox has been penned by "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" scribes Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell, reported Variety.
The story revolves around a woman, her ex-husband and her new wife, who all work together to raise a family in Middle America.
Remini, 48, will play Jean, who considers herself a patriot that loves her country and firmly believes in everyone's right to be left alone. Jean in many ways fits the stereotype of a typical conservative.
McElhenney and Rosell will also executive produce the comedy alongside Nick Frenkel, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton.
The project will be in consideration for a potential mid-season launch should Fox order it to series.
