BJP MP and Hindutva leader Yogi Adityanath today took a swipe at Aamir Khan, saying nobody has stopped him from leaving India if he wants to and it will help reduce the country's population.
The Gorakhpur MP also demanded that people like Khan who found India intolerant, should tell which part of the world they found tolerant and if what terrorist organisation ISIS was doing was tolerant.
"If somebody wants to leave (India), then has anybody stopped him? If somebody wants to leave, he can do so voluntarily. At least, it will reduce the country's population," he told reporters.
He was reacting to Khan's remarsk yesterday that he had been "alarmed" by a number of incidences and that his wife had even suggested that they should probably leave the country.
Adityanath also said that the comments like the one made by Khan over the alleged intolerance in the country were "politically motivated".
Adityanath had earlier stoked a controversy in August by terming the increase in Muslims' share in India's total population as a "dangerous trend". He had also batted for uniform civil code and law to control the population growth.
