Ankit Agarwal (27), lecturer in a college based in suburban Goregaon, was today arrested after the victim, who is a first year Commerce student, filed a complaint with police yesterday, police said.
"The accused was arrested today and produced before a court that granted him bail," said senior inspector Sunil Wadke, Goregaon police station.
According to the police, the 19-year-old victim in her complaint claimed Agarwal was troubling her since October.
"Agarwal started liking her and made advances, but the girl did not respond. He warned her of rejecting her assignments and failing her in the exams if she refused his love," said another officer.
