The move to ban yoga pants in the state failed to pass its first legislative test after the State assembly's House Judiciary Committee defeated the legislation (House Bill 365) moved by David Moore on Wednesday.
Although members of the committee giggled about the bill, there was no discussion about it, Montana Standard reported.
"Yoga pants should be illegal," Moore had said after introducing the legislation which caught nationwide attention.
The House Judiciary Committee also defeated unanimously the proposed legislation on indecent exposure.

Moore said he introduced such legislation on Monday after the last year's 'Bare as you Dare' bicycle event that has outraged residents last summer as many participants rode the bicycle completely nude through the downtown.
Montana already has a tough law against indecent exposure.
A person convicted three times for indecent exposure in Montana can be sentenced to life imprisonment and fined up to USD 10,000.
