Panic gripped in Vazhathottam area in Valparai in the district following the reappearance of a leopard, which killed a pet dog in the early hours of today.
The inmates noticed blood stain in front of their house, as soon as they woke up this morning. To their surprise, they found the half eaten body of a dog, belonged to their neighbour on their terrace, police said.
Meanwhile, some villagers claimed that they had seen movement of a leopard in the area around 2 AM, leading to suspicion that dog was dragged from the nearby house and taken to the terrace of neighbour's housse and left the remains there, they said.
