Leopard cub found in workers quarters

A leopard cub has been found in the quarters of estate workers in Valparai, causing panic among those residing there, police said today.
The workers found the cub sleeping in the kitchen yesterday morning and immediately informed forest department officials, who rushed to the spot and took it away, police said today.
Meanwhile, the movement of a leopard was caught in a hidden camera kept in a human habitat in Kothagiri in Nilgiris district by forest department, police said.
The department officials are keeping a strict watch in the area, they said.
