by a leopard in Alindra village in Dhanpur tehsil in Dogad district, officials said.
According to the Forest Department officials, the leopard entered the house, located close to Devgadhbariya forest range, in the early hours on Tuesday and dragged the boy when he was asleep with other members of the family.
"The leopard entered our hut and dragged my son Jayesh from the bed when we were asleep. Though I screamed for help, by that time the animal had disappeared into the jungle dragging him along," Gutliben, mother of the deceased said.
Parts of the infant's body were later found scattered in the nearby forest area, officials said.
