Recently, legendary Sunil Gavaskar had said that Rahul Dravid should replace incumbent Duncan Fletcher in coaching role with the team.
Asked about Gavaskar's remarks, Ganguly said, "Why not when you have players like Dravid, (Sachin) Tendulkar and (Anil) Kumble. It depends how much time they can give. I think it's an individual decision for every cricketer what he wants do in life. I think it should be left to them," Ganguly said.
The former left-handed batsman though parried the question if he was interested in taking up the job.
"I'm not used to throwing my hat anywhere. I won't be able to answer this question," Ganguly said on the sidelines of the launch of Cricket Association of Bengal's 'Vision 2020' programme with the legendary pace-spin duo of Waqar Younis and Muttiah Muralitharan.
