Left Front chairman Biman Bose said while briefing reporters after attending a meeting at the CPI-M headquarters here that 'atrocities' on its workers by Trinamool Congress activists must stop before the poll.

"Political atrocities have to be stopped and fake litigations filed against our party workers have to be withdrawn", Bose said, adding, the Left Front would strengthen its poll campaign in the days ahead.

He said the campaign involving its mass organisations would go on beyond the June three civic poll and the panchayat election thereafter.

Bose also asked the state government not to implement FDI in the retail sector, continue with the PDS for BPL card holders, check rising prices of essential commodities and vegetables and withdraw the Universities Amendment Bill.

He said the LF would bring out a book on the Mamata Banerjee government's performance on the completion of its first year.
