Lt Governor Anil Baijal today directed the Delhi Police to regularly monitor crimes against minors, including an analysis of quality of prosecution in such cases.
Baijal also advised the force that security audit of IT system must be regularly conducted so as to prevent any misuse of data.
The directions were issued at a law and order meeting, chaired by Baijal, to review crime situation in the national capital.
The meeting was attended by Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, special commissioners and joint commissioners.
"The L-G directed that crimes against minors must be monitored regularly, including an analysis of quality of prosecution, and conviction & acquittal rates in such crimes," a statement issued by the LG office said.
According to it, the LG advised the Delhi Police to make its presence more visible and its personnel more accessible.
He also suggested the police to facilitate and regularly analyse feedback received from residents for constant improvement in its functioning, the statement said further.
