"We are now in the second position in flat panel and hoping to achieve the top position by this Diwali," LG Electronics India head, corporate marketing, Niladri Datta said here.
"We are trailing by some two percentage points in the 23 per cent panel market share and we want to gain it by this festive season," he said.
Samsung is leading the flat panel business in India, the company said.
Datta said they were yet to decide on price revision despite cost pressure of four per cent due to rise in the price of panels.
Speaking on the overall market, Datta said nationally the company aims at Rs 22,500 crore topline in 2016, while in the festive season, the business target is Rs 5,000 crore in September-November period.
