A primary school in Lajpat Nagar-III area has been equipped with smart classrooms, CCTV cameras and library.
The South Delhi Municipal Corporation's Education Department has inked MoUs with eight NGOs for an overall transformation of its 15 primary schools, the SDMC said.
Jung referred to his stay in Britain while his children were studying in a government school.
"The teachers have a major responsibility for instilling the essence of good behaviour, moral values and patriotism in students by their own decent behaviour and habits. The success of education will be termed relevant if the passed out students are possessing adequate sensitivity apart from zeal to work religion, caste, economic situation and regional considerations," he said.

The programme focuses on the keenness of the SDMC on high-quality learning in SDMC primary schools through an innovative partnership with credible NGOs.
"Our efforts resulted in increase in enrollment from 10 students to 290 students within a short span of a year or so apart from putting an end to the tendency of dropout," SDMC Commissioner P K Goel said.
Goel said a cluster of 10 to 15 nearby schools will be linked to such schools in order to provide them an opportunity to replicate the model.
