"Without a doubt I have tinnitus. You're not a proper rock 'n' roll star if you don't. I learned to live with it a long time ago."
The 40-year-old has suffered from constant ringing in his ears for years and this may be due to singing at loud volumes on stage.
However, he considers that this disease is a sign that he is a genuine rock star, reported Contactmusic.
"I put up with it. I just talk really loudly over it. I'm proud of it," he said.
Liam and Noel are not the only famous musicians to fall victim to tinnitus. Coldplay's Chris Martin, Pete Townshend and Morrissey all suffer from the disease.
