The incident occurred yesterday when the former MLA parked his car at a crossing road in the city and went for shopping, Station House Officer, Etah city, Jamil Mohammad said.
According to the complaint, when Verma returned, he found a window of his car broken and the revolver and the cash missing, the SHO said.
A case was yesterday registered against unidentified persons in the case and probe is underway, police said.
