"Curfew has been lifted from all the remaining areas of the city," a police spokesman said.
While authorities had relaxed curfew in most parts of the city yesterday, restrictions continued in six police station areas as a precautionary measure, he added.
Curfew was imposed in entire Srinagar district on the stroke of midnight on Tuesday in the wake of killing of a youth in CRPF firing in Zoonimar area of the city.
Meanwhile, normal life resumed in Kashmir valley after four days of curfew and shutdowns.
Some private schools also opened today, despite it being a Sunday, to make up for the loss of academic time due to the curfew and strikes, they said.
Majli Mashawarat, which is spearheading the agitation for return of mortal remains of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru to his family, is expected to release the agitation programme for next week soon.
