Demi Lovato finds humour in life and the singer says the key to live fully is to "set yourself free".
The 25-year-old musician, who celebrated six years of sobriety earlier this year, addressed the audience from her stage show in Barcelona, Spain recently, according to FemaleFirst.
"Life is really, really funny sometimes. It can be difficult, but, for the most part, if you do what makes you happy and set yourself free, you'll live an amazing life," Lovato said.
The singer performed live hours after unveiling the candid song "Sober" to the world with an emotional lyric video.
The lyrics, through which she thanked her family and friends for their support through tough times, are: "Mama, I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore, and Daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor.
"To the ones who never left me, we've been down this road before. I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore."
