Lifetime achievement award for VSSC scientist Koshy M George

Dr Koshy M George, Deputy Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre here, has been named as the recipient this year of the lifetime achievement award instituted by the Society of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers (SAME).
George was chosen for the award in recognition of his outstanding contributions, spanning a period of 35 years, in the areas of aerospace materials and manufacturing.
The award comes with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and carries a citation, a SAME release said today.
The award will be presented by the Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Shashi Tharoor, at the inaugural of the National Aerospace Manufacturing Seminar here on November 22.
