Light rains cool city

Strong winds accompanied by light rains gave some respite to Delhiites from the scorching heat witnessed over the last few days.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
The city recorded traces of rainfall till 8.30 AM while 57 per cent humidity was recorded, said a Met department official.
The Met office has forecast lights rains for the rest of the day.
"The maximum temperature is expected to hover at 37 degrees," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 43 and 34.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
