Light rains were received by many areas in the city. Safadarjung observatory recorded 1.2 mm rainfall while Palam observatory registered 5.0 mm rainfall, MeT department said.
Light showers were also recorded at Lodhi Road, Ridge, Ayanagar, New Delhi and Najafgarh stations. Areas including Pitampura, Pusa, Narela, Delhi University and Akshradham remained dry.
The maximum temperature for the day settled at 37 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average and 3.6 degrees less than yesterday, while the minimum was two notches below normal at 25.9 degrees, MeT officials said.
In its forecast of tomorrow, the weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies, along with the possibility of dust storms and thunderstorms accompanied by squalls in some parts of the city.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 37 and 25 degrees respectively," MeT official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.6 degrees while the minimum settled at 28.9 degrees.
