Temperature in West Bengal remained within 35 degrees Celsius today as cloudy sky and moderate rainfall in parts of the state helped keep the mercury down.
Coochbehar recorded the state's highest day temperature at 34.3 degree Celsius while Burdwan registered 33 degrees Celsius, the Met Department said.
Kolkata was cooler at 32.6 degrees Celsius with cloudy sky and rainfall of 8.9 mm.
Darjeeling recorded the state's maximum rainfall of 43 mm in 24 hours from yesterday morning.
Other parts of the state received light to moderate rainfall, it said.
The weatherman has forecast generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thunderstorms in the state for the next two days.
