Though the state capital, which remained hot and humid all through the day, did not receive any rainfall since last night, Purnea recording the highest amount of rainfall of 30.8 mm among major cities.
Bhagalpur received 6.0 mm of rainfall while Gaya witnessed a trace.
The scanty or light rainfall spiked the temperature by few notches in prominent cities especially in Patna.
Purnea remained the most humid place with maximum morning humidity level recorded at 88 per cent followed by 82 per cent in Gaya, 80 per cent in Bhagalpur while it was 79 per cent in Patna.
In its forecast, the MeT said Patna, Bhagalpur, Purnea and Gaya are expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with light rain.
