Light to moderate rain witnessed in parts of Bihar

Light to moderate rainfall occurred in many places in north east and south west parts of Bihar in the past 24 hours.
Light rainfall was witnessed at one or two places in other parts of the state, MeT department said.
Though the state capital, which remained hot and humid all through the day, did not receive any rainfall since last night, Purnea recording the highest amount of rainfall of 30.8 mm among major cities.
Bhagalpur received 6.0 mm of rainfall while Gaya witnessed a trace.
The scanty or light rainfall spiked the temperature by few notches in prominent cities especially in Patna.

Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 36.0 degree Celsius followed by 35.2 in Purnea, 34.9 in Patna and 33.7 degrees at Gaya.
Purnea remained the most humid place with maximum morning humidity level recorded at 88 per cent followed by 82 per cent in Gaya, 80 per cent in Bhagalpur while it was 79 per cent in Patna.
In its forecast, the MeT said Patna, Bhagalpur, Purnea and Gaya are expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with light rain.
