Light to moderate rainfall at few places in Bihar

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places in Bihar in past 24 hours, Met office said today.
With south west monsoon getting weak in past 24 hours in Bihar, major cities of Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea did not receive any rainfall during the day.
Among the major cities, Purnea recorded 7.6 mm rainfall (recorded between 8:30 am on Sunday to 8:30 am on Monday) followed 1 mm in Gaya, 0.3 mm in Bhagalpur while Patna registered trace, Met bulletin said.
Places like Bahadurganj received 3 cm while Bhabhua, Sirmori, Birpur, Galgalia, Hussainpur, Makhdumpur registered 2 cm each, it said.
Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35.8 degree Celsius, followed by 35.5 degree Celsius in Patna, 35.2 degree Celsius in Bhagalpur and 33.9 degree Celsius in Gaya.
In its forecast, the Met office said that Patna may witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower tomorrow while Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are likely to witness generally cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershower tomorrow.
