Light to moderate rainfall in major parts of Bihar

Light to moderate rainfall occurred in many places of Bihar in the past 24 hours, Meteorological department said today.
Heavy rainfall was witnessed in Nawada district which received 8 cm, MeT office said.
Among major cities, Bhagalpur witnessed 3.0 mm rainfall followed by 1.7 mm in Gaya, 0.2 mm in Purnea while Patna witnessed no rainfall in the past 24 hours, the MeT office said.
Bhagalpur recorded 3.5 mm rainfall till 8:30 am today while Patna and Gaya received 1.8 mm and 1.7 mm rainfall respectively during the period.
The state capital remained humid because of an isolated light rainfall coupled with cloudy sky for most part of the day.

The MeT department has predicted one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in the next 24 hours in various parts of the state.

Patna and Gaya are expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers while Purnea may witness a generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers.
It predicted generally cloudy sky with light rain for Gaya tomorrow.
Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 34.2 degrees Celsius among prominent cities followed by 34.1 degrees Celsius in Patna, 32.6 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur and 32.5 degrees Celsius in Gaya.

Gaya remained the most humid place that recorded a maximum morning humidity level at 83 per cent followed by 82 per cent of humidity level in Bhagalpur, 76 per cent in Patna and 72 per cent in Purnea.
