While light rainfall occurred at a few places in north Bihar, heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in south west parts of the state, a MeT bulletin said.
Gaya received 24.0 mm rainfall between 8:30 am on Monday to 8:30 am on Tuesday, it said. Patna recorded 7.2 mm, Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded 6.1 mm and 5.6 mm rainfall respectively.
With South West Monsoon normal in Bihar in the past 24 hours, places like Chenari received 10 cm of rainfall, Aurangabad and Kudra received 9 cm each, Mohania received 7 cm while Bhabhua, Deo, Katoria, Dehri, Palmerganj registered 6 cm each, the bulletin said.
Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius, Purnea 28.7 degrees Celsius, Gaya 27.9 degrees Celsius and Bhagalpur 27.8 degrees Celsius, the bulletin said.
In its forecast, the Met office said Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea will witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of moderate to heavy rain, thunder shower tomorrow.
