Lightning kills three farm labourers

Three female farm labourers were killed and another was injured after lightning struck them on the outskirts of Jaitapur village of the district this afternoon, a police official said here today.
The incident occurred when a group of female farm labourers was working in an agricultural field when lightning suddenly struck them resulting in the death of G Lakshmi (43), Vani (23) and Swetha (17), DSP (Bodhan Sub-Division) K Ram Kumar told PTI.
"Another woman who was also injured in the incident and admitted to a nearby hospital is out of danger," the police officials said.
The Yedapally police has booked a case and further investigations are on, the police official said.
