Linseed oil continues upward trend on persistent demand

Linseed oil prices continued its surge for the twelve straight session at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market following persistent demand from paint and allied industries amid higher export offtake.
While, castorseed bold and castoroil commercial fell further owing to subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein slipped due to lower demand from retailers.
Groundnut oil maintained its stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the non-edible section, linseed oil gained by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,350 from Tuesday's level of Rs 1,340.
However, castorseeds bold dipped by Rs 20 per 100 kg to Rs 3,265 from Rs 3,285 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 683 as compared to Rs 687 yesterday.
Moving to the edible segment, Refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 591 as against Rs 593 previously. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,200 per 10 kg.
