Linseed oil remains bullish on rising demand

While, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial both held steady in the absence of any major buying.

In the edible-segment, groundnutoil declined further owing to lack of demand from stockist and retailers.

Meanwhile, refined palmolein recovered modestly on fresh demand from retailers on the back of higher Malaysian cues.

In futures, castorseeds prices regained smartly on heavy speculative demand owing to strong export enquiries.

In the non-edible segment, Linseedoil firmed up by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 820 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 810. However, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial both closed unchanged at Rs 3,625 per 100 kg and Rs 755 per 10 kg.

Turning to edible segment, Refined palmolein gained by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 615 as against Rs 618 previously. Groundnut oil slid by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,185 from Rs 1,190 previously.

In futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened higher at Rs 3,820 and surged to close at Rs 3,904 as compared to Rs 3,800 yesterday, showing a net gain of Rs 104 per tonne.
