Actor Saoirse Ronan believes "Little Women" will prove to be the most important film of her career.
The actor reunites with her "Lady Bird" director Greta Gerwig on the latest adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's coming-of-age period novel.
In an interview with Variety, Ronan, said she felt more confident on "Little Women", than she was during the making of "Lady Bird".
"It was a big step up for me as an actor. Even with something like Lady Bird,' I was fully terrified every day. I felt, 'I'm going to ruin this. I'm going to mess it up.' I really felt that.
"It was a great experience, but I was constantly on the phone to my mom or my friends saying, I can't do it.' It wasn't like that with Little Women'," the 25-year-old actor said.
The actor also revealed that she was "desperate" to portray the character of Jo as she believes she was ready to tackle such a role.
