"The animal husbandry department has launched 'free of cost vaccination drive' against PPR which is prevalent among livestock, particularly the sheep and goats, from November 16," animal husbandry minister Brijmohan Agrawal told PTI.
The drive will conclude on December 27.
A vaccination squad will visit every village to administer vaccine to the animals.
PPR outbreaks are common during and after the rainy season.
PPR vaccination drive is being carried out in the state for the last five years. It was brought under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna in 2012-13 by the Centre.
